20# Cylinder Sales and Use Tax Exemption Expanded Effective July 1, 2026

Effective July 1, 2026, the sales and use tax exemption will expand to cover portable DOT propane cylinders with a capacity of 20 lbs. of less. The tax exemption applies to sales for both domestic and commercial "materials of trade" use. Your local county or city taxes may still apply.
