
In addition to the DOT HM 126F training, all employees’ who package, handle or transport hazardous materials, including propane, must have Security Awareness training within the first 90 days of employment and whenever a new hazard is introduced into the workplace or when the employee’s job function changes. The law also stipulates the company conducts this training every three years.
The main course objective is to increase security awareness at the bulk plant, office and while transporting propane. A “facility specific Security Plan” is required to be completed and updated periodically. Propane Training Services can produce the Security Plan for the client on a per-hour basis.
