
This course will provide an understanding of effective communication procedures when handling a hazardous material, including propane. The course is required by the Occupational, Safety and Health Administration for any person employed where hazardous materials may be present.
The training is required to be conducted at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new health hazard is introduced into the workplace.
The primary topics include, but are not limited to, the introduction to the necessity and objective of the program, identifying hazardous chemicals and the dangers they present. physical and health hazards, first-aid measures, firefighting, accidental release measures, and exposure and protection controls. The course is 2 hours in duration and eligible for 2 CEU’s.
